The London-NY overlap (13:00–16:00 UTC / 18:00–21:00 PKT) is the highest-volatility window and produces the tightest XAUUSD spreads. This is where most professional gold traders concentrate execution. The Asian session (00:00–07:00 UTC) is usually ranging and best avoided by directional traders.
