You may be able to trade XAUUSD with $10 if your broker supports a sufficiently small position and the required margin fits your account, but a $10 balance leaves very little room for spread, floating loss, and normal gold volatility. Check the broker's minimum volume, contract size, leverage, and margin rules before trading.
There is no universal minimum balance for XAUUSD because brokers use different contract sizes, minimum trade volumes, margin requirements, and leverage. A trade that is technically possible with $10 can still be impractical because a small adverse move may consume a large share of the account. Position size should be based on a defined stop loss and acceptable monetary risk, not on the maximum leverage available.
Risk note: Trading with a very small balance can leave little room for spread and adverse price movement.
