An MT5 trade copier replicates trading actions from a source account to one or more receiver accounts. Depending on the implementation, it can copy entries, exits, stop loss, take profit, and position changes while applying rules such as lot scaling. Connection method, latency, broker specifications, and account settings affect how accurately a trade is replicated.
A typical copier links a master or source account with receiver accounts, monitors trading events, and sends corresponding orders to the receivers. The receiver may use a fixed lot size, multiplier, or another sizing rule. Differences in symbol names, spreads, execution speed, contract specifications, and market availability can produce different fills, so copying is not guaranteed to produce identical results.
Risk note: A copier does not remove trading risk and cannot guarantee identical execution or performance.
